Communion is offered on the 3 rd Sunday of each month. We observe World Wide Communion on the 1 st Sunday in October. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table here at Clinton UCC; Jesus excluded no one and neither do we.
Each Sunday, all are invited to join us following the service for food and fellowship.
Blue? Yes, blue as in the blues. As in "I am feeling blue." Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations make parties and joviality painful for many people in our congregations and communities. There is a growing attentiveness to the needs of people who are blue at Christmas. This is why we at Clinton United Church Christ create sacred space for people living through dark times. The service is reflective, accepting where we really are, and holding out healing and hope for all.
We offer worship at 7:00p.m. and 11:00p.m. on Christmas Eve.
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!" Psalm 95:1
All are welcome to join the choir. The choir rehearsals are in the sanctuary on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00PM. The choir meets at 9:00AM on Sunday mornings to prepare for worship. Each year rehearsals begin sometime in October for the December Christmas Cantata. We invite all in the community who enjoy singing to join us in the preparation and presentation of the Christmas Cantata.
Our hand bell choir rehearses on Thursday evening at 6:00PM. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining the hand bells and the music director will contact you.
